Thousands of real estate agents and employees with Long & Foster Real Estate, including those at the Westham office in Richmond, Virginia, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s 20th annual Community Service Day this spring.

The Westham office chose to volunteer with Little Sisters of the Poor on May 17, just as they did last year. The office’s agents and employees planted flowerboxes on each balcony for the residents’ enjoyment. Sister Collette said she is delighted to know she can count on the Westham Fam, as the office refers to itself, to help out at other times throughout the year, too.

Long & Foster’s Community Service Day event took place at the company’s over 220 locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, including its headquarters in Chantilly, Virginia. The annual event provides an opportunity for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their communities through a variety of service projects, including food drives, park clean-ups and more.

“Community Service Day is a vitally important component of Long & Foster and our corporate culture of giving,” said P. Wesley Foster Jr., founder, chairman and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, the parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Our Long & Foster family gains a tremendous sense of personal satisfaction by contributing their time and effort to the local communities in which we live and work.”
