Annual event allows real estate agents, brokerage to give back to the local community
The West Chester office of Long & Foster Real Estate, the No. 1 independent residential real estate brand in the United States, will participate in the company’s 21st annual Community Service Day on June 6. The West Chester office in West Chester, Pennsylvania, will join the brokerage’s over 220 offices in the day of giving back by volunteering at The Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center.
“The Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center provides many educational, sports and social programs for adults and children. They have implemented many after-school programs to include academia and sports, and they truly care about the residents of our community,” said Helen Seiss, coordinator of the office’s Community Service Day event. “We are very proud to be a part of their revitalization process and hope to continue.”
Members of the community are invited to join the office in its volunteer and fundraising efforts, and they can make donations at http://www.meltoncenter.org/support.
Long & Foster sales associates and employees from throughout the company will participate in a variety of volunteer activities during the company-wide Community Service Day. In past years, these activities included cleaning up, refurbishing and repairing nearby parks, schools, shelters, homes and day care centers, and providing other assistance to local organizations that offer crucial services to the community.
“Since our founding in 1968, we’ve been dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we live and work, and our annual Community Service Day event is one example of how we do that,” said Jeff Detwiler, president and CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, parent company of Long & Foster Real Estate. “Community Service Day allows our team to make a positive impact on our local communities, and our agents and employees thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to contribute their time and effort. Whether it’s through our annual Community Service Day or one of our other charitable projects, we’re truly glad to give back.”
