Long & Foster’s Rehoboth Beach and Lewes Offices Take Part in Companywide Community Service Day Event

Long & Foster sales agents from its Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, Del., offices volunteered with Epworth United Methodist Church for the company's 17th annual Community Service Day on June 4.

Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc. announced that thousands of its sales agents and staff, including those at the Rehoboth Beach and Lewes offices, rolled up their sleeves and took part in the company’s annual Community Service Day held June 4, 2014. Long & Foster is the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States.

Long & Foster’s annual Community Service Day takes place at its nearly 180 offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Washington, D.C., and Northeast regions, including its headquarters in Chantilly, Va. The annual event provides a day for Long & Foster agents and staff to give back to their community through a variety of service projects, including collecting food for those in need and cleaning up local parks, among many other projects.

Sixteen sales agents from the Long & Foster Rehoboth Beach and Lewes offices volunteered with Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach on June 4, 2014. Epworth Church has an extensive giving program that works to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless during the cold weather, and provide meals once a week to the International European Outreach Program to name just a few.

Long & Foster picked vegetables from the church’s garden, cleaned and packaged them for the hungry, built a picnic table, reorganized a number of classrooms and helped clean for transferring items to and from the church. The sales agents of Long & Foster were pleased to offer assistance to the Epworth United Methodist Church.
