Real estate agents and leaders from the Georgetown office of Long & Foster Real Estate, the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate in Washington, D.C., and the largest independent residential real estate company in the United States, joined the Georgetown Business Association (GBA) for its 2014 Leadership Luncheon at Tony & Joe’s last month. The Georgetown team was among the more than 100 GBA members and guests who came together to recognize the 2014 Life Achievement Honoree, Ron Swarthout of Georgetown Floorcoverings.

“Giving back to the community in which we live and work is part of our culture here at Long & Foster, and our Georgetown family greatly enjoys being part of the Georgetown Business Association and being able to support the GBA in its many efforts to build the business community in our wonderful neighborhood,” said Roger Carp, manager of Long & Foster’s Georgetown office.

Long & Foster was the presenting sponsor at the luncheon and has contributed to the organization throughout the year. DC Council Member Muriel Bowser served as the featured speaker at the event, talking about the economic situation in Washington, D.C., before honoring Swarthout for his dedication to the Georgetown business community.
