Long & Foster Property Management, one of the largest single-family property management and rental service companies in the country, announced that four of its property managers were honored by the Hampton Roads Realtors Association (HRRA). During its Circle of Excellence Awards, HRRA presented its Distinguished Property Managers awards to Kathleen Burchfield, Jan Rucinski, Cristie Braemer and Patricia Davis. Burchfield also received the 2015 Distinguished Property Manager of the Year award and Rucinski earned the Distinguished Property Manager’s Longevity recognition for 25 years of service.

“Long & Foster is thrilled that the Hampton Roads Realtors Association has recognized Kathleen, Jan, Cristie and Patricia’s many accomplishments and their commitment to the industry,” said Joe Amatangelo, president of Long & Foster Property Management. “They are all true professionals in the property management business, and their dedication to their landlords and tenants is a testament to their passion for the real estate industry.”

These awards are presented to property managers who demonstrate extraordinary service, dedication and professionalism to their clients and the real estate industry.

Burchfield started her real estate career over 30 years ago in San Diego, managing small multi-family apartment complexes. She relocated to the East Coast in 1989 and joined Long & Foster in the early 1990s. Around that time, she earned her Virginia real estate license, although the focus of her career has been in property management. She currently serves as a senior property manager with Long & Foster, working with a team of property managers that manage over 500 properties in the Hampton Roads area.

Rucinski has been in the property management business since 1982 and with Long & Foster since 2011. She is committed to the property management industry and her clients, and she is a firm believer in continuing education and giving back to the community. In addition to receiving the HRRA Distinguished Property Managers award annually since 1999, Rucinski has received several other awards from her real estate associations and her community during her career. In 2015, she received the Virginia Association of Realtors Ann Swearingen Property Manager of the Year award.

Davis has been in the property management business for 38 years. In her role at Long & Foster, she considers her clients’ investment properties as her No.1 priority, and she’s dedicated to ongoing education, ensuring she offers her customers quality service in an ever-changing market. Davis is a member of HRRA and the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM).

Braemer has been in the real estate industry since 2008. She began as an administrative assistant and studied for her board examinations shortly thereafter. After receiving her real estate license, she became an assistant property manager, working side-by-side with a property manager with over 25 years of experience. Braemer was quickly promoted to property manager, and she current manages the company’s Ocean Front location with an inventory of close to 200 properties. Braemer is also a member of HRRA and NARPM.
