John VanderSyde Named Manager of Long & Foster’s Strawberry Street Office in Richmond, Virginia

John VanderSyde, a real estate professional for nearly 15 years, has been named manager of Long & Foster Real Estate’s Strawberry Street office, located at 409 Strawberry Street in Richmond, Virginia. Previously, VanderSyde was an agent with Virginia Properties, a Long & Foster company. He and his wife, Ann, have worked together as the Ann and John VanderSyde Team, and Ann VanderSyde will remain at Virginia Properties as an associate broker, helping area buyers and sellers.

John VanderSyde has a background in architecture, design, construction and project management, an industry he worked in for 17 years before moving into real estate sales and joining Virginia Properties in 2002. Since then, he has been a top-producing agent for Virginia Properties and Long & Foster, providing a high level of service to clients. His experience in architecture has allowed him to provide planning, staging and architectural consulting services to clients in the process of buying or selling their homes.

John VanderSyde is a licensed real estate agent in Virginia, a licensed architect in Virginia and the District of Columbia, and he holds an associate broker’s license. Originally from the Virginia Beach area, he received his bachelor’s degree in English from Randolph-Macon College and his master’s degree in architecture from The Catholic University of America. He spends his spare time with his wife and three children, and volunteering with the Knights of Columbus Council 5476.
