Elfie Biankini Earns Military Residential Specialist Designation

Elfie BiankiniElfie Biankini, a sales associate with Long & Foster Real Estate’s Alexandria/Old Town Historic and the Washington, D.C., Georgetown office, has earned the Military Residential Specialist (MilRES) designation of advanced real estate. The MilRES designation recognizes Biankini as an expert in serving and understanding the unique needs of the military and civilian personnel and their families.

“In the military moving is a part of life. It presents unique challenges not only to the military member, but also to their families,” Biankini said. “As a retired military member, I personally understand the challenges and the stress involved with moving every couple of years. As a Realtor this advanced training and education will continue to help me serve my military families to understand their benefits and options, as well as make the best decisions for purchase or sale.”

Through MilRES, real estate professionals learn the intricacies of working with the military community and gain an understanding of the unique challenges associated with military moves. The program focuses on helping active duty and retired military, veterans and reservists, ensuring they receive the best service possible during a Permanent Change of Service (PCS), Temporary Duty (TDY) assignment or other move.

Biankini has been a Realtor since retiring from the military and affiliated with Long & Foster since 2004. She is licensed in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. She is an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) and holds the professional designation of Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS). Biankini also has been recognized as a Life Top Producer by the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors.

Biankini is a member of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from Troy State University and a master’s degree in social work from Florida State University. She resides in Alexandria, Va., with her husband, son and extended family.
