Long & Foster Real Estate welcomes Cameron Gwaltney to its Ocean Front office, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Gwaltney will specialize in working with homebuyers and sellers.

“We are very excited and fortunate to have Cameron join our team of highly trained professionals,” said Tina Holt, manager of the Ocean Front office. “The combination of Long & Foster and Cameron’s unique skills and knowledge will no doubt provide the highest level of service to local buyers and sellers.”

Gwaltney successfully completed Long & Foster’s STEP Builders program, which offers extensive training and resources for agents at any stage of their career. The program’s curriculum includes tools for agents to build their business, mentor-style programs, techniques for prospecting and working with buyers and sellers, skills for negotiating, and more. Gwaltney holds membership in the Virginia Association of Realtors.

“The dynamics of today’s residential real estate market are constantly changing. Participating in our STEP Builders program has provided Cameron with the right tools to meet those changing dynamics,” said Gary Scott, president of Long & Foster Real Estate. “We welcome Cameron to Long & Foster, a company that has helped local buyers and sellers reach their homeownership goals for more than 45 years.”

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Gwaltney is a Realtor who values integrity, clear communication, hard work and old-fashioned common sense. After spending a decade serving as a worship pastor, his interest in real estate was born after going through one of the most stressful experiences of his life – buying his first home.

The transaction was a nightmare, causing countless restless nights for Gwaltney and his wife, Whitney, as they walked the long, crazy road towards closing on their home. From mortgage companies to appraisers, inspections, agents and deadlines – everything that could go wrong, went wrong. It was that experience that sparked a desire to see things done differently.

Gwaltney has a passion not only for people, but for the way people interact and deal with each other. He received his Bachelor of Arts in communications from James Madison University and has been studying interpersonal communication, persuasion and psychology ever since – unique strengths that have been utilized to serve his clients well, from first consultation to closing.

His hope is that his clients will never be as stressed, frustrated and scared as he and his wife were when they bought their home.
