In our business, we know that a home is a lot more than a basic need or an investment. Home is ideally where we connect with the people who are important to us, rest and feel safe.
It has been particularly moving for us at Long & Foster to see the news reports showing so many Texans displaced by Harvey, with severely damaged property and loss of cherished possessions. The task of reclaiming the safety and comfort of home appears monumental.
The Houston community and its residents need our support. Just as we would if a tropical storm were to strike communities in our own backyard, we feel a need to step in and offer aid. Long & Foster has partnered with the American Red Cross to support their Harvey relief efforts. We will match our agents’ and employees’ donations up to $25,000, from now until Nov. 30, 2017.
There are many reasons I’m proud to work at Long & Foster, but none rank as high on my list as our commitment to helping others. Since our founding nearly 50 years ago, we’ve been dedicated to giving back to the community. We collect gifts each holiday season for Toys for Tots. We volunteer in our local areas as part of our annual Community Service Day. We give back to those in need throughout the year—all part of our core values to work and live for the love of home.
At a time when so much divisiveness has affected our country, we have an opportunity to come together and make a positive impact. To donate, please visit https://www.gofundme.com/lnfchurricaneharvey.
Thank you for your compassion and consideration in coming through once again to help those in need.
